The Parish Centre

This building was known as the Church Hall until we became a parish in 2005. It stands on the same piece of land as the Church building separated by a paved courtyard. The Parish Centre was built in 1923 but was extensively refurbished and extended in the 1980’s. We have recently installed a data projector and screen into the Parish Centre. This is mainly utilised by the Roots youth club who project an X-Box Kinect onto the screen.

The Parish Centre is in use every day of the week for church activities, but is also available for hire by community organisations. We have a diary of regular users as well as Church groups. Our main user is a dance school who run children’s classes all day on Saturdays and an adult class on Monday evenings.

Other community based organisations that utilise the Parish Centre are a yoga class and a friendship club for over 60s. Tuesday evenings are busy with groups that hire the hall for once a month meetings. Wednesday sees a group of mature ladies turn up for a keep fit session in the morning.

Church groups are a weekly Tuesday Craft group in the afternoon, our children’s after school club (Branches) in the afternoon on Wednesday. On Thursday we have our Coffee Pop-in in the morning and different groups hire the hall in the afternoon. Friday lunch time is the after service lunch and in the evening the Church youth club, Roots. All these attract members of the community who are not necessarily regular members of our Church congregation.

Rates

Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm: £8 per hour
Monday to Friday after 5pm: £9 per hour
Saturday and Sunday: £14 per hour
